Doesn’t that sound nice? Swim in Sugar Land….ha! It’s cold, but our pools are heated, so we’re lucky. The New Territory Tarpons are currently gearing up for the 2009 Summer Swim Team Season. Coach Erin Huson is coming back for what we are sure to be another successful Tarpon season. The Southwest Houston Recreational Swim League has set their opening meeting for January 25, so look for new details in both places. The Tarpons will be posting the summer meet schedule some time this week. The New Territory Tarpons have to be one of the more organized teams that I have ever had dealings with. Still a member of the 30+ team, Southwest Houston Recreational Swim League, they have an incredibly strong, excited board in place for the 2009 season and have their coach of three years on the books for the upcoming season. For the 7 years that I’ve been involved, I would definitely be fighting for a place for on this team. They have a strong returning team, but should have some available spots come March 2009.
